Mechanix Womens M-Pact Gloves
Did you know that Mechanix Wear has a glove line specifically for women? They have a variety of gloves for all purpose use, gardening, puncture resistant and the newly released M-Pact gloves. I can’t even express my excitement about these gloves! My husband has a pair of the Mens M-Pact gloves and loves them so I couldn’t wait to have a pair for myself (see my previous review here). I had the pleasure of receiving a pair of these gloves for evaluation purposes. I do a fair number of improvements around our home and also do most of the Spring/Fall clean up in our yard. I need gloves that are durable, versatile and protect my hands from the range of activities I do around my home. The Womens M-Pact gloves are the best gloves for my needs.
The palm
The palm of the glove features:
Rubberized tacky grip
Rubberized tacky grip material on the thumb and index finger for extra gripping
Synthetic Leather Palm
Second layer of material with 2mm of PORON XRD for impact and vibration absorption
The top of the glove features:
Thermal Plastic Rubber hook and loop closure for a secure fit
Impact Guard protects the 1st knuckle with EVA foam covered by rubberized grip material
Thermal Plastic Rubber on the knuckle and fingers which protects against impact
Trek Dry stretch fabric on the top of the glove that provides ventilation and wicks moisture
I found the gloves to be very comfortable that fit fantastic. I love the layer of PORON XRD on the palm because it provides extra protection when I am using a rake. I also really like the extra grip on the thumb and index finger. My favorite characteristic about the gloves is the Thermal Plastic Rubber on the knuckles. I no longer have to worry about nicking my knuckles when I am performing vehicle maintenance or working in small areas. 24. Samantha D. says:

I love mechanics gloves for working in the garden. They are tough enough to last all season, the finger tips are a lot stronger than those “girlie” gloves they try to pawn off on us garden women. Plus they protect my hands from the rough stuff like digging, pruning, thorns, sharp tools etc.. Not to mention I love the velcro tight fit wrist strap I can slide them on and off with ease compared to normal gloves that you have to peel off (because hey our hands sweat). When your working with mulch, mud, dirt, compost, manure, dog poop, stinky water etc… in the yard you dont want to repeatably peel, turn right side out , put back on (thats usually hardest) while touching your dirty gloves. But with the velcro feature you can slide on and off with ease and it also makes a tight fit on the wrist so nothing gets in.
