I recently received some dog products from Loving Pets for evaluation purposes. I received a set of Bella Bowls in the Bow Wow style, a Pure Buffalo Meaty Bone and a package of Pure Buffalo Bully Bones. If you follow my blog, you are aware that I have 3 dogs. Frosty, Chloe and Peaches are my fur babies. I am always searching for new items that will benefit them. I was pretty excited when I received the box from Loving Pets. The Bella Bowls are available in a variety of sizes and colors. I received a couple of bowls that were perfect for Frosty (the big dog).

Bella Bowls

The bowls are made of stainless steel and are dishwasher safe. They also have no skid rubber at the bottom. I honestly like the bowls they are quite nice quality, and I love the fact that I can put them in the dishwasher. The Pure Buffalo Bully Bones came in a 2 pack. The bones are made of 100% buffalo.

I gave the bones to Chloe and Frosty. They certainly liked the bones and took off with them right away. I will be honest I wasn’t a fan of the way the bones smelled but apparently my dogs did. They both devoured them in minutes. I will be honest I don’t normally give my dogs these types of treats, but they seemed to genuinely like them. However, in the middle of the night Frosty started crying, and  I got up to a mess. Chloe and Frosty were both majorly sick from the bones. The next day Chloe slowly started getting better, but Frosty got worse. I honestly don’t know anything worse than cleaning up vomit and diarrhea from a 75 pound dog. I lost a couple of nights sleep from this and ended up with  a vet bill for Frosty. I would not encourage giving your dogs these treats at all. I thought the bones stunk before I gave it to them it was nothing compared to what came out of them. Although the treats were a disaster, the Bella Bowls are extremely nice, and I would recommend those. Loving Pets has a variety of products available that can be viewed on the website.

My Dook, never has enough sandals or books to gnarl on. These treat look Dook proof.

  2. I hope you told whoever sent them to you what happened! For both dogs to get sick like that the company had better look into how they are being produced!! At least the bowls are good!!

The bowls look really nice. When I read posts about dogs it brings up so much nostalgia, I had a dog who passed away. :-/ I’m quite sorry to hear that the bones made your dogs ill, I wonder, were there expiration dates on the packages? Did you let the company know about how your babies reacted to them?

My Mom and I totally know what you mean about having to clean up vomit/diarrhea from a large dog. Our dog Bryan gets sick from time to time generally when we give him something new. It’s just awful. Sorry this happened to your dogs. The bowl does look very nice, I like the “Bow Wow” on the side.

  5. Oh my goodness! Your poor fur babies. I would definitely let the company know. At least the bowls were nice. I need nonskid ones. It seems like my cats can push bowls all over the house.

  6. I had a similar experience with different treats that I purchased from PetSmart. I brought back the packaging and they refunded my money and immediately removed the rest of the treats from their shelves. I do hope you notified the company so that they are aware of the problem. Reputable companies will pull them so no one else suffers. Glad you liked the bowls! We have similar ones and I like that they don’t slide all over the floor.

  7. So sorry about your dogs getting sick from the treat and thanks for letting us know. I don’t give our dogs any store bought treats at all.

  8. Yikes! I have a little dog and I occasionally like to give him treats but I sure don’t want these kind of results. Are the dogs back to normal? This is the kind of thing you definitely don’t want to experience. Glad the bowls are nice. We do need a new bowl for our yorkie.

  9. I am so sorry your puppies were sick from these bones. It is horrible to have your little babies sick. I would most definitely let the makers of this product know there was an issue

  10. Wow! I’m so super sorry that your dogs got sick 🙁 I would definitely let the company know. The bowls are really cute. We don’t give our guys many of those type of treats either. Every now and then we will get them one of the vet recommended dentist things…but that’s about it.

  11. No the bowls aren’t very heavy. I am sure you dog could still carry them around. Frosty does that on occasion too.

  12. I love dogs but unfortunetely i can’t have one due to family :(, Nice review

  13. Thanks for the review. I love dog dishes I can put in the dishwasher. I hope your dogs are feeling better!
