One of my family’s favorite places to eat in Colorado Springs is Rocco’s Italian Restaurant. Rocco’s has been in Colorado Springs for more than 25 years. They are locally owned and offer a broad selection of Italian Cuisine. They recently moved into a larger location on Academy and Maizeland Rd. Spencer and I recently visited the new location for dinner. We were greeted by a extremely friendly hostess and were seated right away (we went early to avoid the dinner rush). We were brought a basket of bread and glasses of water right after we sat down.

Rocco’s has a vast selection of items on their menu including appetizers, desserts and traditional Italian cuisine such as pizza, pasta, calzones, and more; they even have steak on the menu. For this visit,  we opted for the Baked Mozzarella Sticks for our appetizer.

The appetizer arrived hot and fresh served with a side of marinara sauce. The cheese had a crispy,  crunchy shell filled with ooey gooey cheese and the marinara sauce was balanced with the perfect combinations of flavors.   For our entrees,  Spencer ordered The Pasta Dinner (there is a variety of pasta to chose from) he chose Fettuccini with Alfredo sauce. The meal also included soup or salad, meatballs or Italian sausages. He chose the salad and 1 meatball and 1 Italian sausage for his meal. I decided on the Baked Manicotti for my meal. I also opted for the salad and 1 meatball, and 1 Italian sausage.

Our salads arrived in a timely manner and were crisp and fresh.

Our entrees arrived shortly after, we were also offered some fresh grated cheese for our entrees, which we of course accepted. Spencer’s meal was cooked to perfection, the Alfredo sauce was delightfully creamy. Spencer quickly devoured his entire meal. The manicotti was extremely tasty. The creamy filling of the manicotti and the zesty sauce offered a utterly delightful combination. The meatballs are dense and tasty, but the Italian sausage was over the top delicious. I had been eyeing the desserts since we arrived, so I ate about 1/2 of my entree. The other half was boxed for me to take home. I of course had to order dessert.

Seriously, who doesn’t want to finish off a delicious meal with an incredible dessert?Spencer chose the Crème Brule, and I chose the Tiramisu. As you can see they looked fantastic but tasted even better.

They were out of this world delicious. The whole experiences was extremely pleasant. The atmosphere was exceptionally comfortable, the service was efficient and friendly,  and the food was absolutely divine. Rocco’s Italian Restaurant is undoubtedly a restaurant I would recommend. Whether you live in Colorado Springs or are visiting I suggest visiting Rocco’s for a memorable dining experience. They offer lunch and dinner most days of the week, visit the website for hours of operation. Additionally, they have a full wine list and Gluten-Free menu items.
