Restaurant.com offers local restaurant deals in your area for a fraction of the price as a gift certificate. I know many people want to give restaurant gift cards or certificates for holiday gifts, but this year consider giving certificates from Restaurant.com.  For example, I can buy a $10 certificate for a local restaurant in my area for $4! My family and I recently went to one of the locally owned restaurants in our area to use a Restaurant.com certificate for dinner. The restaurant we went to was Mountains Shadows Restaurant. The restaurant is located at 2223 W. Colorado Ave in Colorado Springs. The hours of the restaurant are Mon-Wed 7 am to 2 pm and Thu-Sun 7 am to 8 pm.  We went on a Saturday evening for dinner.

The restaurant is a quaint little place that is near Old Colorado City. We were seated right away and waited on promptly. The menu has a nice selection of items, but the breakfast menu is larger than the lunch or dinner menu.

My son ordered the Turkey Club Hoagie $8.99 the sandwich is made on a hoagie roll with turkey, ham, bacon, American cheese, Swiss cheese, lettuce, and tomato with a side of fries and sliced pickles. The condiments were also served on the side in packets.

My husband and I both ordered the Sloppy Burger $8.99 it is a cheeseburger covered in french fries and smothered with green chili and cheese.  Honestly, the food was OK the Turkey Club was just a ordinary sandwich the condiments in the package were a turn off to me. The fries were nothing impressive they were overly greasy. The Sloppy Burger was also average. My husband and I both love this kind of burgers, but this was not what I was expecting. The green chili lacked flavor, and the fries were greasy and soggy I didn’t even eat half of my meal because I didn’t like it. However, the service was good, and the restaurant was clean.  Although, I wouldn’t recommend the restaurant I would recommend Resuarantc.om. They offer  fantastic affordable local dining deals that help small businesses succeed. This holiday season give a gift certificate from Restaurant.com so you can help support small businesses in your area.

  1. This is something I have actually enjoyed as a part of gift giving for several years now. It makes a great stocking stuffer. I had accidentally discovered restaurant.com once when I was waiting in line at a Walgreens. Everybody loves to eat out, and their discounts really do help out a lot and make it fun.
