How To Make A Cork Wreath

Spread the love

I love making homemade crafts, but it is even better when I can repurpose or recycle items. Since it is the Holidays, I wanted to create a new wreath for our home but I also wanted to use our vintage wine corks. I had started out wanting a holiday wreath but instead made a wreath that is hung near our bar.

Here is what you need:

A glue gun with glue (I use Lo Temp)

Lots of wine corks (it depends on the wreath size)

Styrofoam wreath

Wire Ribbon (I got mine at the Dollar Tree)

Decorations (I used plastic grapes)

I just glued the corks around on the wreath to cover. I did have to cut some of them so be sure and have something to carefully cut the corks with. I made a bow with the ribbon and wrapped the wreath with remaining ribbon. I then glued the grapes on the wreath. I had some memorable corks that I wanted to showcase so I glued the special corks on top of the grapes (it also helped the grapes to adhere to the wreath).  I glued the bow on the wreath and viola here it is.

I am planning on making more of these wreaths using different techniques to cover the Styrofoam better, but I think it turned out great! What do you think?
