No matter what the season is I use my slow cooker year round. I love being able to put some ingredients in my slow cooker and by dinner time we have a delicious meal. Cooking in a slow cooker is super convenient for my family because we are always on the go. I also just love it when my house is filled with the aroma of home cooked meal. I admit it I am a sucker for recipes for the slow cooker.
I recently received a new book for evaluation purposes called Easy Everyday Slow Cooker Recipes by Donna-Marie Pye. The book features 200 recipes, 80 colored photos, as well as, tips, tricks and time-saving ideas.
The recipes include:
Chilis and Beans
Beef and Veal
Pork and Lamb
Big-Batch Dinners for a Crowd
Meals for Two
The recipes also have a terrific variety of dishes including cultural inspired or comfort food. There is definitely something for everyone. The recipes are simple and the color photo is astounding. I really enjoy this cookbook because it does offer easy recipes, as well as, tips on every page and some variations for the recipes. It is certainly different than the other slow cooker cookbooks I have. My favorite section in the book is the Double-Duty Dinners because it stretches one meal into two. Like I said before my family and I are always on the go and need quick dinner options. The recipes in that section certainly offer what I need to save time and money. I have made several recipes from the cookbook and have enjoyed everyone one of them. If you would like to learn more about the book, visit the website for more information or to purchase.
