Review: So this is the third installment in the “Stefan’s Diaries” series. These books are great if you are trying to get out of a reading slump since they are so short. This books follows Stefan as he explores New York, he eventually finds a badly injured young woman that he needs to save. However after doing this he gets involved more than he wanted to. The book overall wasn’t amazing, but it still wasn’t terrible. I have read better and worse, I think that is how this series will continue to be. The plot was not super exciting by any means and most of the action happens in the last 40 pages. I am getting really tired of Stephan always thinking Damon is the bad guy, doesn’t matter if they haven’t seen each other for years but Stephan always comes to the conclusion “It must be Damon”. I wish that these books could stand out from the others in the series but almost all of them take the same plot. If you like the Vampire Diaries TV show I think you would enjoy these books. I really feel that I am reading the same book over and over again. I am starting to hate this series because it would seem that the ghostwriter/ghostwriters can’t come up with any good material. I am still not sure if I will continue with the series to finish it out or if I will just stop reading at this book. I doubt the series will get better, but maybe it will with the way they ended this book. This series works as a little companion to the show. I would give this book 2.5 out of 5 stars.
