Are you looking for the perfect subscription box for nerdy and geeky items? I have found a box for you. Loot Crate is a monthly subscription service for $13.37 a month plus $6 S&H (that makes it $19.37 a month). My son loves geeky and nerdy things so this is the perfect box for him. I recently had the pleasure to review one of these boxes. The box I received was for October and the theme of the box was FEAR. I don’t know who was more excited about this box myself of my son. The first thing I noticed when I opened the box was the artwork on the inside of the box. It is orange and black and it looks like a building that zombies are trying to break into.

FEAR Crate

The first item my son and I looked at was the “Death by Kitten T-Shirt” it is a very soft t-shirt that has a skull made of kittens on it. It was very funny and my son loved it. It is a cool looking shirt and when you notice the skull is made of cats it is funny. You can’t beat a cool, funny, comfortable t-shirt.

FEAR Crate

The second item was a piece of “Toxic Waste Candy” this is a super sour candy that my son absolutely loved.

FEAR Crate

The third Item was a “Sledgesaw Hammer Pen” this is a Loot Crate Exclusive item, the pen writes very nicely and it is perfect for any fan of the Dead Rising games. At first glance, my son thought it was just a little toy, but when he discovered it was a pen he was super happy.

FEAR Crate

The fourth item was “How to Survive a Sharknado Book” as you might have known my son loves to read so he was very excited about this book. He thought it was a very interesting idea and he is already reading the book.

FEAR Crate

The fifth item was a “’Oh Brother’ Art Print” It is a humorous little print that my son loved. He is a big fan of the walking dead so this was perfect for him.

FEAR Crate

The sixth item was a “Walking Dead comic book Issue 132”. My son loves comic books and walking dead so to get this made his day. The cover is a Loot Crate exclusive cover which made it extra special.

FEAR Crate

The seventh item “Slashes and Bites Tattoos” were perfect for Halloween and made my son very happy to see them include something like this. Who doesn’t want a zombie bite tattoo?

FEAR Crate

The eighth item was a “Smite Gift Card” it is to Unlock Thanatos with a Jack the Reaper skin. My son loves playing Smite and since he doesn’t have this skin he was very excited. He was actually so excited he almost jumped up and down.

FEAR Crate

For this special crate, we received a little pin that says “Loot Crate October 2014 – Fear.”

FEAR Crate

The box also including a magazine detailing each item and 3-D Glasses for the magazine. The magazine has exclusive interviews with Robert Kirkman (creator of the walking dead comic book series) and Jsalvador (creator of the art print). This is something that was completely unexpected, but very neat to have.

FEAR Crate

Overall I think that box is well worth the price. My son loved every item in the box and he will be picking up a subscription of his own very soon. The items in the box were very high quality and perfect for fans of geeky and nerdy things. This would be the perfect gift for anyone who loves nerdy things, as well as, a gift for yourself. I would recommend this box to a lot of friends that I have and to some of my family members.
