Restaurant Style Salsa Recipe
I have been trying to find the “perfect” restaurant style salsa recipe for some time now. My family and I love the salsa from Chili’s but have not had a lot of luck trying to recreate it. I am still tweaking this recipe but I am getting closer to the flavor that I want. Either way this is a delicious recipe for salsa that is also very simple to make. I used the Nutri Ninja Blender for blend it but you can use whatever blender you have.

Here is what you need:
2 14.5 oz cans of whole tomatoes drained and rinsed
1 4 oz can diced jalapenos drained and rinsed
1/3 sweet onion
2 cloves of garlic
1 teaspoon sea salt
1 teaspoon cumin
1 teaspoon white sugar
1 teaspoon brown sugar
Juice from 1 lime
Cilantro leaves chopped I use a small amount just to add a little extra flavor (optional)
Put all ingredients except the cilantro in a blender or food processer. I prefer a smooth salsa so I blended until smooth. If you like chunky salsa blend for less time. After the salsa is blended place in a bowl and add cilantro. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before you serve it.

  1. I’m not a huge fan of salsa, but Mom is. I might have to try this recipe some time!

  2. Arik Issan says:

I almost always add cumin to my salads, but I never thought to add it to salsa. Good idea.

  3. That looks amazing! Pinning it now!

  4. This salsa looks tasty! We love taco and salsa night at my house. My family also enjoys lots of guacamole.
