Cranberry Compote Recipe
Thanksgiving is just a few days away, are you ready for the big feast? I wanted to share my favorite cranberry compote recipe. It is simple, quick to make and delicious. It is a great side dish to serve on Thanksgiving, but it is also really tasty as a sauce on pork.

Here is what you need:
12 ounces of fresh cranberries (rinsed)
2 Tablespoons orange zest
1 cup of sugar
2 cups water
dash of salt
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1/2 cup fresh orange juice
Directions:

In a non-stick saucepan combine cranberries, zest, sugar, water, salt and cinnamon. Cook over medium heat, bring to a boil and cook for 10 minutes. In a bowl combine cornstarch and orange juice, add to the cranberry mixture. Simmer on low for 15 minutes or until it is thick. Remove from heat and cool. Cover and refrigerate to chill.

  3. I love cranberries but have the “stuff” in a can that you can buy at Thanksgiving. Having a “duh” moment because it has never occurred to me to try and make something like this on my own. It looks absolutely delicious and I hope I can replicate it! 5 Stars!
