DIY Curly Mesh Valentine’s Day Wreath for a stunning Valentine decoration.
I have been admiring curly poly mesh wreaths on-line for a while but haven’t tried to make one until now. I love working with poly mesh I just wasn’t sure if I could make one of those beautiful curly wreaths. Well, after much debate with myself I decided to give it a try. I will be honest with you I had to have some help holding the mesh after it was rolled. It also took a little longer than I had anticipated, but it turned out FABULOUS!
I tied the chenille stems on the wreath form so I knew how many curls I would need to cut. I used 18 for my wreath. I cut 11-12 pieces for each curl in all 4 colors. After I cut the pieces, I decided how the colors would be coordinated. Since I used 4 colors, there would be one of each color in a set. Roll the mesh tightly and pinch in the center. (I had to have help with this as I couldn’t roll and pinch at the same time). After I had one of each color in the set, I secured them tightly with the chenille stem. Go around the wreath form until complete.
My wreath is not only fabulous, but it is huge! I probably wouldn’t recommend doing a bigger form unless you have a very large space for it. I absolutely love the colors, and the curls make it look very whimsical.
