As you may already know, my husband and I love spending time together in the kitchen cooking and trying new and exciting meals. One of my favorite subscription services is HelloFresh. It is a weekly subscription service that provides ingredients and directions for three different meals. They have a veggie option or a classic option. I chose the classic box for my family since we enjoy meat. The box includes all of the ingredient that you will need for the three meals. The ingredients are packaged by meal, and the meat is separated at the bottom of the box away from the fresh vegetables. I love this because it makes sure everything stays separate to avoid contamination.
The packaging of HelloFresh continues to get better and better to ensure quality within the box. When you receive the box, you get full-color recipe cards for the meals. The cards feature the recipe, the level of difficulty, the variation to make the meal for a larger family. The cards also have all the nutritional information for the recipes. The recipe is detailed with step by step pictures and what tools you will need for the recipe. Additionally, allergy information is also included on the card. So if you have food allergies you are informed as to what each recipe has.
Here are the meals I received in the box:
My family and I thoroughly enjoyed these meals. My son and I both loved the Chicken Yakitori. We thought it had the perfect mix of spicy and hoisin sauce flavor. It was a rather large meal, and it would feed several people if you wanted. The noodles were my favorite part of the meal. I have even bought some more of these noodles at the store because I liked them so much.
My husband loved the Steak Tagliata. I thought it had a little bit too much garlic, but when I make it again I will add less. The watercress salad mixed perfectly with the steak. My husband loved the mixture of the salad and steak. The sweet potato wedges were a hit with everyone in the house.
My grandchildren loved the Spring Tortellini Gratin. They love anything that has pasta and cheese, so it was the perfect meal for them. My son didn’t love the panko crust on top, but everyone else loved the tortellini. I will make this again for the little ones in my house.
All of the meals were scrumptious and I will certainly be making them all again for my family.
If you are like me, you dread going to the supermarket to go grocery shopping, this is a fantatic solution! Sometimes I just don’t have the time to go shopping in between everyone’s schedule and my own, so HelloFresh makes it so much easier on myself. Additionally, it takes the guess work out of cooking and offers new, creative recipes so I don’t spend a ton of time trying to decide what to make for dinner. Mother’s Day is right around the corner and HelloFresh would be the perfect gift for any mother including myself.
