Cherry Limeade (1)

Summer is the perfect time to enjoy a cool refreshing Cherry Limeade without leaving your home. I don’t know about you but I always have maraschino cherries on hand and many times the jar is left full of juice, this is a great recipe to use up that cherry juice.

Cherry Limeade (2)

Here is what you need:

12 oz Sprite

1/4 lime + 1 slice

3 Tablespoons maraschino cherry juice (or to your liking)

Maraschino cherries

Ice

In a large glass add ice, sprite, cherry juice and squeeze the juice from 1/4 lime. Stir add a cherry and a slice of lime. You can also make a pitcher of this for parties it is perfect for the kids!

  1. Now this sounds refreshing for those really hot days-I like I can make it by the single glassful–of course I would have to buy some maraschino cherries and a lime and a bottle of diet sprite–but that would cause no hardship!!!!!

  2. I will have to remember this next time we make the chocolate covered cherry mice or fruit pizza which are the two recipes we use that have maraschino cherries. I always feel guilty throwing out the juice leftover in the jar. The kids would love this!

  3. Cool! thanks for sharing. I want that 🙂 looks refreshing.

  4. I have made these before and they are really good Thank you for the reminder.

That looks so good. I never thought about putting cherry juice in my sprite. I wonder if it would taste as good with diet sprite. I guess one bottle of regular couldn’t hurt 🙂

  11. I always buy the Minute Maid or Tropicana Cherry Limeade and never thought about doing it myself. Thanks for the recipe. This might actually taste better. 🙂

  12. Ooooh, DUH! I never thought to use the cherry juice haha. I have been using Cherry Grenadine and it’s just not as sweet (and fairly more expensive!) Great post. I loooooove Cherry Limeade!

  13. Very simple and easy. Sounds very refreshing. I bet my son would like this he is a fan of sprite. I on the other hand think its too sweet. I wonder if I could make it with something a little less sweet.

  14. I love Cherry Limeade. I get this at Sonic sometimes during their happy hour. Making it at home would be so much easier.

  15. I love being able to replicate these delicious recipes at home for a fraction of the price. It allows you to spend some quality time with your family and enjoy a delicious treat while saving money at the same time.

  17. Oooh this looks like it would taste really good. What a great idea for all that extra cherry juice. Now if we could find a simple recipe like this for strawberry lemonade, it’s my favorite. lol.
