Summer has ended, and children are back in school. While this is a hectic time of year, it is also not quite the end of summer weather. Why not combine the end of summer with back to school by enjoying frozen treats? I always have some sort of frozen treat in my freezer for my family. I had a fantastic opportunity to review some yummy frozen treats that I am sure you will enjoy.
When my grandchildren come over to my house I am always prepared by having Popsicles in my freezer. One popsicle that they can all agree on is the Firecracker Popsicle. It is the traditional Red, White and Blue popsicle that has delicious flavors; Cherry, White Lemon and Blue Raspberry. They are also the perfect size for my young grandchildren.

As you can see, they are extremely happy with their Firecracker Popsicles. Popsicle is a brand I know and trust. They have been around for as long as I can remember, and continue to develop and improve their product line. They have a wide array of products that are sure to please both young and old.

Another product line that has been around for as long as I can remember is Good Humor. They have actually been serving up frozen treats for more than 90 years! They have a wide selection of products including Ice Cream Bars, Ice Cream Cones and Ice Cream Sandwiches. We opted to try one of the newer products from Good Humor the Birthday Cake Bar. It combines vanilla cake flavored ice cream, surrounded by light vanilla ice cream and then coated with colorful cake crunch! The appearance alone is festive and perfect for any birthday celebration. My son is the one that eats these bars. They are certainly a sweet treat! Good Humor has expanded their product line to include candy bar inspired frozen treats such as; Reese’s Ice Cream Cups, Mounds, and York Peppermint Patties. They even released Reese’s Pumpkins just in time for Fall.

A brand new frozen treat product that recently hit shelves is the Fruttare Bars. They are available in frozen fruit juice bars and fruit and milk bars. These bars are all made of real fruit! The Fruttare frozen fruit juice bars are available in Strawberry, Orange, Lime and Mango. The Fruttare fruit and milk bars are available in Peach and Milk, Strawberry and Milk, Banana and Milk, and Coconut and Milk. I couldn’t wait to try the Coconut and Milk bars. They were creamy, smooth, and delicious. They have an exceptional balance of flavor with bits of coconut in the bar. I thoroughly enjoy these bars and they are only 140 calories, which I genuinely appreciate!

I think most people are familiar with the question. “What would you do for a Klondike Bar”? Klondike is another well known product in my home. Klondike has 11 varieties of stickless ice cream bars, ice cream sandwiches and Choco Taco treats. They even offer 100 calorie treats, as well as, no sugar added options. Of course once Spencer saw the Klondike Oreo Sandwiches he had to try those. The sandwiches contain vanilla ice cream with bits of cookie which is sandwiched between 2 chocolate wafers. Spencer’s favorite ice cream flavors is cookies and cream, well Klondike did a one up on that idea by adding the chocolate wafers. This has quickly become one of Spencer’s favorite frozen treats.

One of my favorite frozen treats is the Mini Double Caramel Magnum bar. I am so glad that Magnum has come out with a smaller version of their rich and decadent ice cream bars. I don’t usually indulge in these kind of treats because they are so rich and the larger size is really too much for my sensitive stomach. However, the Mini Double Caramel Magnum bars are the perfect size for me. The bars feature vanilla bean ice cream that is dipped in chocolate, caramel sauce, and Belgium Chocolate. They are extremely rich and decadent. Magnum offers a superb range of products including the new Magnum Gold which features vanilla bean ice cream that has sea salt caramel swirls and is dipped in a golden coating made of Belgium milk chocolate.
Now for a product that I get all the time, Breyers Ice Cream. Breyers is my family’s favorite ice cream. It is available in a wide variety of flavors including Lactose Free, and the recently released Blast line. In my family, one of our traditions is celebrating special occasions with ice cream pies. I have been making them for years and is still the most requested dessert at family gathers. My oldest grandson started Kindergarten this year, so keeping with tradition I made him an ice cream pie. I used Breyers Cherry Vanilla Ice Cream for his momentous pie.

As you can see he is quite proud of it. The Cherry Vanilla Ice Cream features rich dark cherries with vanilla ice cream. To see my recipe click here. It was without a doubt a terrific way to celebrate! Why not enjoy frozen treats after school every day with these incredible products? What is your favorite frozen treat?
