Have you considered buying gifts that give back to others this holiday season? I love being able to find fantastic organizations that I can purchase lovely gifts that also donate money to worthy causes. I have recently discovered the World Vision Gift Catalog.

World Vision is a Christian relief, development, and advocacy organization dedicated to working with children, families, and their communities worldwide to reach their full potential by tackling the causes of poverty and injustice.

The World Vision Gift Catalog offers more than 250 gift items that help fight poverty and save lives in the US and the world. Additionally, financial contribution donors can choose one of over 30 handcrafted gifts that are perfect for holiday gift giving while also helping other in need. I had the opportunity to acquire one of these lovely gifts for evaluation purposes. The gift I received was the Hand-Carved Wooden Serving Spoons.

The beautiful hand carved serving spoons are made of olivewood which are ┬ápackaged in a gift bag made of African material that is hand-sewn by local women. The recommended donation is $65. The donation benefits orphans of the Kamba tribe in Kenya. I certainly love these spoons. They are incredibly detailed, and the olive wood is stunning. They are also remarkably easy to care for you just hand wash them and air dry them. They are approximately 11″ long, and the cloth bag is colorful and nicely made. I love these serving spoons; they are not only beautifully hand carved but also are an extremely practical gift.
