Roaming Reindeer

It is hard to believe the holidays are right around the corner. As the holidays get closer, it seems the children in my house get more anxious and rambunctious. I spend a good amount of time policing behavior near the holidays. The holidays are stressful enough without having to do that. I know many of us use Santa as a bribery tool or a behavior modifier. I am sure you are familiar with it “Santa is watching you” or something similar to it. Those tactics used to work when I was younger, but the kids nowadays need to have or see something more tangible. If you have children 4 years and older I found a terrific item that will help encourage good behavior. The Roaming Reindeer A Christmas Tale includes a story book and two plush reindeer. It is a fun and unique way to encourage children to behave.

Roaming Reindeer
The story book is centered around two of Santa’s reindeer Sam and Gus. They decide to help Santa by visiting children to report back on who is naughty and who is nice. They can’t do it all so they enlist some other reindeer friends to visit children. The reindeer appears in pairs reindeer 1 and reindeer 2.

Roaming Reindeer

Reindeer 1 is in charge of going back to Santa to report naughty behavior while reindeer 2 keeps watch on them. I love this new tradition! It is a wonderful way to teach my grandchildren teamwork, good manners and accountability. It is also something tangible that they understand. Additionally, I give them special rewards if the reindeer stay together for more than 5 days which also encourages them to make good choices. Roaming Reindeer comes in a keepsake box with a story book and two reindeer. To learn more about this new tradition visit www.roamingreindeer.com.
