Tacky Box

This holiday season give the child in your life the gift of kindness with The Tacky Box. If you are familiar with The Tacky Box it is an exceptional product that gives the parent an excellent opportunity to spend time with their child, as well as, teach them kindness and respect. I love the concept behind The Tacky Box because I think teaching children to be kind, as well as, learn respectful behavior. The Tacky Box combines fun with words and deeds that will encourage children respect and goodness.

Tacky Box

This is how The Tacky Box works:
Step One: Spend 10 minutes cuddling with your child while reading the story of Max’s (or Margo’s) Magnificent Choice. .
Step Two: Compare the jungle to our world and explain to the child that they will hear and see all kinds of tacky behavior and words. Encourage the child to respond proactively to the situation. Will they choose to be kind or tacky?
Step Three: Once the child makes their own magnificent choice, give them a high five and present them with the authentic Tacky Box to decorate.
Step Four: Prominently display the decorated Tacky Box in your home. The child can use the included tablet to write down tacky behavior or words that he or she has used and lock the piece of paper in the Tacky Box. This action encourages children to commit to removing tacky words and behavior from their heart and mind.
Step Five: Watch the child learn to self-monitor behavior and words while also setting an example for others.
I love the different steps that help children learn to monitor their words and behavior. Having two small children in the house they don’t always know the appropriate way to behave and sometimes say things without a filter (they don’t realize what they are saying is hurtful). It has been a little challenging teaching them how to be kind. The Tacky Box is a wonderful tool that I have been using to teach them how to be kind, as well as, how to behave respectably. The Tacky Box is available in two different books Max for boys and Margo for girls. You can learn more about this unique product on the website. You can also enter to win a Tacky Box here!
